Description
I downloaded with Firefox (had initially downloaded it with Safari) and the download number changed to 5.
I downloaded it again with Firefox and the number changed to 6.
I downloaded it again with Safari - but no change. This suggests that downloading with Safari does not update the statistics.

Indeed I can replicate it on my Safari running under wine (not the safest way to replicate it though). Chrome does not suffer from this, although they are both based on webkit. It seems like a jquery/safari incompatibility. I'll close this bug, but Anna or someone, could you open a new bug with that specific issue for a next milestone as we're about to release this one?

Hey Dimo, great stuff but where to test this? I can't see it in testing.plumi or staging. Thanks
comment:6 Changed 2 years ago by dimo
you can test it at both testing.plumi.org and demo.plumi.org. Just open a video and wait a few seconds for the counter to appear under the "last modified" line.
It will only appear on videos that have at least 1 view or download since collective.piwik.flowplayer has been installed.
e.g. http://testing.plumi.org/Members/anna/videos/bt-test/view

Hey Dimo, got it. Working for me. One thing, can we make the text bold and perhaps 1 point bigger and put it just above the top right corner of the video?
Thanks
Also is there a plan re-migration of EM and current no. of stats on videos? Or does everything have to start from zero?

collective.piwik.flowplayer has been designed to be as generic as possible and it's not that trivial to reposition and restyle the counters it at this point. I think we should leave it where it is for 4.1 and make a ticket for 4.2, or 4.3 during the redesign. It's also pretty much a beta feature and the counters will have to start from zero since there is no data available, so I wouldn't expose it too much at this point.

I think it's positioning really don't make it clear for users, and also it's so small as to be hard to notice.
Also redesign could be 3/4 months away still and it'd be great to have people be able to make some real use of it now, even if it's beta. It is possible to at least bold it and just align it to the right side of the page?

have tested on Chrome, Firefox - are all good. Opera does not show downloads either.
Unweb - do you have IE somewhere to test with? nobody here does...
